This year Central Virginia Battlefields Trust is working to open up select properties and provide interpretation of the history of what happened on the land. We are looking at possible projects at several of our properties at Chancellorsville as well as at Spotsylvania, including Myer's Hill
At Chancellorsville CVBT owns properties that saw action on both the east-side of the battlefield, as well as along Jackson's Flank Attack. On the Spotsylvania battlefield we have parcels that saw action on both the first, and second, week of the battle.
The $10,000 that we are looking to raise as part of Giving Tuesday will be used to plan, and execute, our interpretive efforts.
